Concerns about privacy started creeping in. People became more guarded, and the fear of judgement turned these spaces into highlight reels of only the ‘nice things or absolute abuse of our fellow human beings.
Vulnerability became a risk, and genuine connection was replaced by a sense of isolation in a sea of filtered realities.
I felt this shift deeply.
I once ran private Facebook groups, but after seeing how these platforms compromised our privacy and allowed toxic behaviour, I knew I couldn’t expose my community to those risks any longer.
